B16 Generation 2 In 94 Ls Integra

I Just Put In A Jdm B16 In A 2 Door Integra. Has Anyone On This Site Already Done This Or Know About This Combination.what Do You Guys Think. What Mods Could I Do To Even Enhance Performance, I Kept My Ls Tranny I Was Told It's More Aggresive. Anyways If You Have Anything Comment On This Let Me Know.

and here i thought people only upsized displacement! :retard:

as for performance, depends on what you want. turbo or na?

for n/a, you could do intake/exhaust/headers and i think you can use an itr head on it (verify this). or cam upgrades etc.

personally not a fan of teg's with b16's. I dont know who told you the LS tranny is more aggresive, but the gearing is much longer in the LS tranny compared to one from a b16. The LS tranny works better with turbo cars

so far i already have a cold air, headers, high flow cat, full exhaust line, and performance spark plugs.

if i were you the next thing i would do would be to look for a different block(B18 or B20) This will give you more torque because of the displacement as well as more hp. Also gives much more potential to make big numbers when compared to the b16

i agree. i know b16's don't really have a bottom end. but to change the block what kind of labour charges are involved

i dont know why your changing the block, considering you just installed it. that would be a big waste of money. maybe do some head work, porting and polishling or turbo it

if your worried about cost i would recommend doing it yourself. Buy a golden eagle LS/VTEC kit and it will help alot. drill the head to accept the LS dowels. Set up your vtec and your good to go.
And to offset the cost of everything i would try to sell the block.

Use the B16 head with B18 block. LS/Vtec is probably the way to go. Or turbo either one. Boost is GOOD!!! Kepp the LS tranny for the turbo route.

why did you spend $$ and put a b16 into a car when you have an ls?

SPPEDNYMPHO 03-01-2007 11:23 AM

i don't like stock personally and i wanted vtech

true_werd 03-01-2007 11:56 AM

so if you have an LS motor and the b16 just put the b16 head on the LS

sn_29 03-01-2007 12:45 PM

Yeah, the LS with a B16 head woulda made it a LS/Vtec. Much more power that b16. I would go that route.

why is this even in the talking section? giving this guy advice when he lists "performance spark plugs" as one of his mods is a waste of time.
