Arch, yeah that Valentine 1 is a GREAT radar detector, I've seen a lot of reviews on those (The k40 I just found in a search on yahoo)

And of course, nothing is 100% proof, but if you normally only drive like 15 mph over max, the radar will save you quite a few times.. I've been saved atleast a dozen times by my radar detector, and it's one of the Cobra's.

imported_Sincere is an unknown quantity at this point
Why not just not speed or use cruise control?

That's the only radar detector I've ever used, and I've never had a ticket...For anything.

I have a remote mount bell that is nice but I rarely go much over 5 over, a windshield mount type is less sensitive (metal parts block teh signal and many people mount it behind the wipers)many companies offer to pay tickets, but you need to see the fine print some say anything above 5 over tehy don't pay (and very few cops will stop you for 5 over)

Ryan's too. His Caddy got stuck on wide open throttle going down the high way when he used the cruise for the first and only time. He was going a little over 100 before the car finally got under control. He's just lucky there weren't many people on the road at the time his car had a bout of temporary insanity... on a side note, boy was I glad to see that car go to the crusher.
