For the first batman movie ever made, I thought it was a strong effort. Bale was cool, everyone acted well, and the movie stayed pretty decently far away from cheese.
Btw, anyone trying to convince me that the last 5 had anything to do with Batman is getting a serious beatdown.

lol, okay.....
I'd like to go see it, but Ryan refuses to watch anything that involves superheroes or comic book characters without me having to force him to go, so it looks like I'll be waiting till it comes to video.
