Being an adult...

Being an adult...
You wait so long as a kid to become an adult, but when the day finally comes you have no idea what to do about it.
There is no notification letter, no phone call, no text, no nothing and by the time your realize you actually are an adult you have already made a dozen wrong decisions. I'm a little older and hopefully a little wiser, but I still feel basically the same as when I was 18.
Who else feels that being an adult or becoming an adult was a total rip off? I used to have it so good as a kid.

Yeah, it sort of slams you upside the head like a sledge hammer. Being an adult isn't all it's cracked up to be. Yeah, you get to do things you want to do but then there is this thing called responsibility that goes along with that. Not fun at all!

If I could trade the stress I have now as an adult to the fun I had when I was growing up, I would be there in a heartbeat. I do not have regrets or anything, but yea, that refund thing sounds like a good plan too.

For me, the hardest thing has been the fact that nothing is planned out for me anymore. When I was a kid, I just had to go to school, do the homework, get good grades. Anything else was just...whatever. No matter what, school had to get done; I had somewhere to be, for sure, Monday through Friday from 8 to 3. Now, I gotta go out looking for something to do Monday through Friday so that I can fund that "whatever" time. New feeling, for sure.

Welcome to the real world! Being an adult is just a part of life. Along with the responsibilities come the privileges. Sometimes we'd all like to go back, though. Well, most of us anyway.

Nobody told me that being an adult would be so boring - and in any case, I'm sure I wouldn't have believed either. Now having raced my life to this point, I wish I could slow it down some.

I wouldn't turn the clock back to my childhood, sure I miss lots of things from it, but that's in the past, I always look to the future.
However I'm feeling as I'm getting older I'm becoming more carefree again. Something does come along at times to give me a reality check, like aching muscles after a long walk

Very cute! I walk around all the time saying I don't want to be an adult anymore. I want to be free of responsibilities. It never seems to happen though..lol Being an adult is rough work. Whenever I hear a teenager saying how hard they have it--I inform them it is only going to get harder as they get older.

When I first read the title I thought you might want us to fill in the blank... lol
Being an adult .... sucks. That would be my answer. Kids have no idea how lucky they are because they think "rules" are difficult to follow. Heck, life is difficult in general, but being adult definitely can make it more difficult.

Yeah my kids can1t wait to get out on their own as soon as they find jobs. They have no idea how tough it is to worry about bills and buy food and clean your own house hehehhe. I wouldn`t want to be a kid again because I had a tough childhood but your right it`s hard being the adult now with all the responsibilities and kids that don`t understand that I have been there.
