A big delima
Well, a friend of mine in a fellow f-body car club around here has wanted a camaro for his 18 year old son as a birthday present, and he doesnt want to get him a v8 for now, and he is in love with my v6. He offered me 11k cash, and we talked about it, and I told him I would think about it this week.
I never thought i'd get 11 out of it, even though I have twice that in it. But with that I could probally find an SOM WS6 if I look hard enough. Either that, or just get me a DD and be done with it for now, I havnt done any 'real' modding to my car in 6 months now. I have it to 12.8 in the 1/4th, but for me to do much more than that is going to require more than just nitrous.
Oh man the choices.
PS - The only thing im worried about, is that this car is not a normal car, or a toy. Its n/a about stock with a v8, so I dont really understand his want of my v6 instead (I suppose he couldnt mod it much more). Not to mention the chance that the kid could kill himself with a car like mine quite easily.. I mean if he tried to drive wet streets with my slicks on it with no idea how to drive one....

why doesnt he buy the kid a 93 z-28 6 speed. your talking like low 14s and a helluva fun car. plus he can spend like 5k on a real nice car and if he wrecks it, its only 5k not 11k.lol.\
best advice i can give is sleep on it. think about it and decide for yourself. i prolly would take it as you wont get that anywhere else but also think about how it will be without it. i know i miss my T/A a ton, but i was preparred for my decision and am satisfied with the route i chose to take. good luck

he wants the 6 because he is clueless and thinks v8 always means more power, or insurance (18 and v8 is not cheap) only you can decide if you want to sell it, for that price I would have already dropped it off (he does know the mods done right)

He knows whats done to it... but hes never driven it. I still think hes fooling himself into thinking my car is a toy.
yea if you got an 8 that would be sick, but i like your 6 and its pretty damn quick. I just dont think his son is ready for a high 12 sec car. But then again, its all up to you, his dad should get him a V6 camaro and one thats not modded.
Things to think about: How reliable is the car? How much could potentially break in the near future? And then how much do you want to keep this guy as a friend?
As much as the money sounds good, I'd never sell a car, much less a modded car to a friend. S#it always seems to happen after the sale, and it always seem to end up being a hassle and a friendship breaker regardless of being sold as is. You either lose a friendship or you end up living with the car.
Not too mention how pissed you'll be the first time the kid wrecks it, or does something to it you wouldn't like.

Kinda hard to get rid of something you've put time/sweat/blood/money into... unless your stupid and you rigged your mods together or something and stuff doesnt work 1/2 right... lol

People that know me, know I tend to go above and beyond what I 'need' to do. Which makes the car look great, and run great... but it also makes me poor.
Im going to sleep on it again tonight, and decide tomorrow.
