I havent read much about the latest protest . Some of the ways they go about things , the methods used are to manipulate the media . As some of you may not know , 95 percent of all media , spoken , written or visual is government propaganda . Even the weather network as far as I,m concerned .
As far as how canadian natives go about their business . A) they were here first and the Canadian government has disrupted alotta lives and culture and killed alotta these people in the past . In the present canada probably gives more assistance to NEW Canadians who cant even speak our languages and who wants to live here without any intention of becoming any more Canadian then necessary to get into our social / benefit / health and education programs .
B) I,d rather have an Iroquois Sioux Algoncquin etc etc etc living next to me then what you see in Toronto . Tamils Isralis crpyts bloods irish scarberians etc etc etc .
Whats one road blocked for a day compared to 20 some immigrant/ drug/gang related deaths from a few summers ago , and the latest killing spree earlier this year . Not much I,d say ..77.

alright well i agree with you on some points, and strongly disagree with you on a few others. the irish? what would be so bad as having them as a neighbour? you tryin to blame your problems on them now? and no one here said they have a problem with the natives, most of which agreed with their cause, its the way they went about it that no one agrees with. if your problem is with the government, then take it up with the government, not ppl tryin to get to work, cottage, etc. so buddy, next time read everything everyone says before your go around making accusatons, by the way im irish. mind tellin me why you dont want me in the country?

a buddy of mines dad lives like 12 hours up north, an dhe said up there theres no real policing the natives. once a month they come from their island to get their cheques and when they do they loot and rob the liquor stores and . prime example of them setting a bad rep for themselves

heres the thing though. the government despite the fact that theyve taken their land and such, still gives them back alot. take breaks, free education, like that. i know a native girl, her and her brothers are all dumb as , hey brothers cant make it through high school because theyre too fuken stupid and she dropped out of college mid term and now has to pay for it. had she stayed in she would have had it payed for but now shes ****ed. i dunno about you guys but a free education along with a nice tax break isnt that bad of a deal to me. but of course i dont know the entire story or why theyre doign what they are. regardless why affect the lives of people who dont control theirs?

by causing problems for the regular joes all your doing is turning them against you. the best thing to do, go to the source of the problem and deal with it there.

Anyone else blocking off the 401 would be arrested and the blockade removed. The OPP, more than ever now under politically-minded Fantino, is concerned more about public relations than upholding the law in this province.

Yet another clear example illustrating the need to reevaluate the priorities of police services here in Ontario.

i bet they could close off a section of the 401, street race in their beaters and mobile homes and no one would say anything to them about it. its like the police are afraid of them.

heres what you do, bring in the riot cops, and go and remove them, and anyone who resists gets to populate a prison. problem solved

Yea, imagine we went and blocked the 401 demanding the police no longer profile us and stop infringing on our rights.....

We'd be jailed, charged for resisting arrest, public mischief, cars seized, impounded (stripped by officers for parts) etc.

Its a bunch of BS. They want to be heard and seen, go hijack parliament.

Evidently, this is the basis of the Desoronto "land claim"

After the American War of Independence, about 20 native families came to the area. They were given about 100,000 acres of land as reward for their loyalty to the Crown in the war. Their chief was John Desorontian (sp?). In 1835, a section of about 900 acres was deeded to his grandson (I would suspect he also would be native) as a settling of the estate. The band was supposed to approve all sales or transfers. No one has any record as to whether they did or did not agree in 1835. Now the protesters say the land was illegally transferred.

I don't really see how the white man ripped anyone off here.

The budget for Natives is somewhere around 9 BILLION $. That's in excess of 100,000 for each native. No one is allowed to audit how it is dispersed or spent. I don't see any poor band councils.

Time to join the rest of the world.
