The Camaro Concept that "Surprised" GM Insiders

Rumors are floating around in Detroit that the concept is here in Detroit right now. A friend of mine said that a trailor was brought into a building where only a handful of people have access, and the trailor has been under tight security 24/7. It of course could be anything, but since we know the concept is scheduled to unveil on the 9th of January, they would have to have the fully built concept by now. Apparently when this image was posted, a few GM insiders were surprised/shaken up to see this. Hmm, wonder why?

That said, I do a lot of reading and talking about the 5th gen, being in the Detroit area, you can't talk to anyone that isn't tied to the automotive industry either directly or through a family or friend. From a lot of the things that I've been reading into with heritage cues, styling points of the vehicle that we will definitely have, this one seems to be pretty darn close to head on. The proportions are good, the only thing I'm a little iffy on is the center portion of the grill between the headights. Anyway, nuff talking, here's the pic.

Also, guys, keep your eyes planted for a Corvette Stingray / "SS" model to outpreform the Z06.

I really like that concept its by far one of the best ive seen. We can only wait till jan 9th to see if thats it or not.

Agreed, my thoughts are that if they're not using the LS7 in the Stingray, does this possibly mean the next corvette upgrade will be to the LS9 as well? If that's the case, could be looking at a ls7 engine for the top of the line Camaro model, whether it's "SS" as signs indicate, or the z28. We'll see. Exciting times.

I don't listen to anything anyone says personally. It changes all the time so I'm just going to wait to see what is shown at the autoshow.

That's the point I want to make. There's a new concept every week and I always hear how this is the real one. I'm not getting my hopes up or even caring what I hear until I see the real thing. There's just no point.

Yea here here to that. I want the 5th gen camaro to be cutting edge, its the future thats ahead of us, not the past. Lets cut out with the "bringing back the old school" we all love em but its the dawn of a new age, we need something razor sharp, something that makes you wanna orgasm just looking at it, sleek, aggressive, power and with all that then the camaro will be obsolete.
