and im trini so dont think im white or something talking

^ has a point, caribana is no longer what it is intended for...its a celebration of our culture, our heritage, its a celebration of our land and the wildlife we have...the city has made it a joke in the past few years, it is NOT a multicultural event...now we go and we see people jumping all over the place like they mad...it is a family event, last time i went i saw caucasion girls that were on the floats naked or if not topless, it has been taking to a different level now and i consider it ruined
THE DRINKING THING however, guy we are Caribbean it is in OUR veins...we are some of the best drinkers in the world lol...

well ur right to a point, caribana is supposed to be represented like carnival, carnival is supposed to be a celebration of the slavery that ceased in the past as the different tribes and communities united which is how you see a parade with costumes, and yes our heritage but now its getting way out of hand with some parts of it, but cmon you need to realise things aren't gonna stay the same it was 5 or even 10 years ago, times have changed and so has the culture and community that we live in, but you can't knock on the music because not all of them are dumb some of them have actual meaning to it other than just jumpin and wavin and wine up on some gyal, just my opinion, oh and to the drinking if your from trinidad you would understand that no matter where your from at times of a celebration you will find people drinking and having a good time even though some may take it to far but still.
