CarPC Update
Bad News:
Couldn't fit it into the car! The **** motherboard is just way too big, which I should've known. For the 93-96 guys, haha you'd laugh if you saw my radio bezel's area. That plastic piece that the radio bolts into and the bezel goes over.. yeah... non-existant. Had to make room for the motherboard. Well, guess what... all that **** and it won't fit.
Good News:
Going to get a better motherboard that's only 6.6 inches square... I can mount the motherboard on the back of the LCD screen. It'd be a lot faster, have the USB 2.0 standard on the board so I won't need that **** USB hub, and it still has a PCI slot for my wireless. So, it really would be a smooth transition.
Bad News:
This means... no rims. I need to tap into the money that I have for the rims to purchase the motherboard and some ram. The motherboard is $200, and the ram shouldn't be THAT expensive (crossing fingers) so that just means it will be a few more weeks before I get the rims.
Good News:
The carPC will still be finished and will be even more kickass than I had originally planned.

I'm going to get the rims, but I don't necessarilly need them right now. Right now, I have a half finished project with a huge hole in my radio bezel. It just means the rims will be a few more weeks before I get them -- which really is no big deal because it's not like I'm going to be putting the rims on immediately anyway, regardless the rims aren't going on until mid April at the earliest.

thanks arch, glad to hear someone support..
Rims - black Zr1's..
Why till April? I'm not going to put my new rims on to be clobbered by salt. I plan to keep the salad shooters and use them during the winter, and sport the black Zr1's during spring/summer/fall.

haha.
So an update to the update, I looked and I think I can score a 600MHZ motherboard with the LVDS plug that I need for $160 + S&H... good deal. The other 1ghz motherboard with the plug costs $225, so I won't have to tap much money from the rims.
One thing I forgot to mention until I was talkin to Caleb, another reason why I can't put the rims on right away is because that'd look WAY too obvious to roll up on some new rims after the girl I work with gives me the money that's supposed to go towards fixing my bumper. Atleast if I wait till spring, I can easilly play it off like I saved up all winter for it.
