a car like the stang , looks good , sounds good , is fast ... and that would please 90 % of the north american ppl . then as you buy it it anoys you with plastic that , cheap that , getting the sense that lots of thinking has been done to insure a good looking purcase from a superficial point of view , while cutting costs at every hidden corner to insure maximum profitability .
but in the end not everybody can afford to be picky so domestics are exactly what most ppl need in our case

Allright, so this is exactly why I don't like posting on this forum. Too many immature people that take everything to the heart. As far as I can remember I clearly stated my OPINION. And I guess that might be a big word for you naztyzed, so here's is the defintion of opinion: "A belief or conclusion held with confidence but not substantiated by positive knowledge or proof." You can go check it yourself on dictionary.com. Now this thread is not made so you can feel a little bit better about yourself and what you drive. I personally own two domestic cars, but I don't fell insecure enough to defend them by jumping into every thread. My OPINION was only to help out the author, if you had apposing views, you could've stated them instead of making personal attacks. Let's get it straight most people do not drive the car of their dreams, so no need to take this to heart. Now my position of domestic cars was based on personal experiences. Also, I was in the market for a new car a few months ago, so therefore I was checking out all the new models. From Chevy to Huyndai and Acura. I did not go in discriminating against either but after driving a few of them I made my decision. Most domestic cars have very disorganized interiors, everything is bulky and very unsophisticated. Mind you this does not apply to every car, I personally love the Stang. Anyway, most domestic cars also lacked in turning abilites, especially the Saturn Ion. Once you step inside a Japanese or European car, its a completely different feel. The interior is very welcoming, the gauges and buttons are smaller, more sleek and sophisticated. Now about recalls in Toyota trucks, is that the first time a company had recalls, no it happens. Tell me this why is it that domestic cars depreciate faster than imports, why is that most domestics have financing rates as low as 0.9% while the japanses dealers offer rates around 4%? By the way the cobalt was revied by road and track and it was rated 4th, just passing Ion which was fifth, the handling was horrible, the comfort was minimal, overall it was a disappointment. Oh and lastly if your precious domestics are doing so good then why was there a news article in the sun a few weeks ago that stated the the domestic car dealer are making only a few hundred dollars a cars, compartively lower than what the imports are? What it comes down to is that your OPINION is different that my OPINION, we can do nothing about that, so instead of arguing about it its better to help out the person who started this thread. Thanx.

Fit and finish are impressive, not just on the outside, but also throughout the G6's interior. Whereas some midsize sedans from GM and even some of the Japanese automakers have fallen short on interior design with the use of cheap plastics and poorly placed controls and gauges, the G6 has the look and feel of a premium model.
Befitting of a car that its makers dare to call a sport sedan, road handling on the G6 is impressive. Although this is no Corvette or even a GTO, the car holds to the road quite well in tight turns, and there was never a time that I felt the car was anything but well under control. That's partly because of the car's stiff chassis, as well as its four-wheel sport-tuned suspension. This car is no wallowing big sedan, even though inside it is almost as roomy as some popular full-size models.
Maybe you should go see a new domestic for yourself.

First of all that seems to be a cut and paste job, but whatever. As I mentioned before I never said that ALL domestics suck, when I went to look at the new models I didn't like them, well the ones I could afford, under $300 a month. I love the stang, oh and the GTO wow, beautifull cars, but as I had mentioned before, the ones I did see lacked sophistication. Im not sure why we are still on this, that was my opinion, thats it, I'm not sure if I hurt your feelings or what but again this post is not about which one are better domestics or imports; because what it comes down to is your own preference and lets not forget your budget. So if it makes you feel better about your car go ahead keep arguing but I stated my opinion for the benefit Stailfish. That is why this is a forum, people as questions others answer, not a hard concept.
