Comcast users, inside please...
Anyone else having horrible service tonight? It took me over 10 tries just to view this site. 90% of the other sites I visit all time out.

Sometimes it makes me want to go psychotic on corporate ***. I dunno what's going on, I used my packet sniffer to see what is going on with the packets, I'm not having any problems receiving the packets. Bleh, can't even ping localhost. Hmm. I know it's not my specific comp cause my carPC can't connect to sites either, wonder if it can ping the DNS or localhost...

I was going to suggest that its your router... my roomate and I always have like 3 minute intervals where we cant load any sites... Comcast said it could be our router, but I havent checked... what did you do to fix it?

Well first I tried pinging projectcamaro.com, at first it failed but then it started working. So then I tracert'd projectcamaro.com, and the first hop failed, first hop's my router. So then I tried connecting to 192.168.1.1 to connect to the router and see what's going on, and when that didn't work, I just went upstairs and unplugged both the cable modem and my router and powered them back up after 60 seconds.
Woot, the trouble shooting portion of the Computer Based Information Networking course that I'm taking is paying off!!!

what's fun is my brother in laws computer was giving him fits, while all teh others were fine, and he refuses to believe anything can be wrong with his computer, so we swapped his for my father in laws, and his cable was bad (you know that thing they tell you can't go bad)

wireless is terrible reliability... ive heard and seen reviews, it works better for some than others... we were getting someones connection in our apartment before we got our internet, so it is terrible for security also
