Could someone make me a carbon fibre hood .
 

Can some one here make a carbon fibre hood for a drag car I,m working on . The stock steel hood is retardedly heavy . Is it easy to make one outta C/F or maybe go with glass instead . I have a factory hood to make a mold from ..77.

CF or fibreglass would be about the same difficulty, all you have to do is get the CF sheets. :smilie_da

uhh I think CF needs to be baked, unlike fiberglass, i could be wrong

CF is hella pricey right now. Doesn't need to be baked, you can do a "wet" setup and lay resin down. Its cheap and not very labor intensive.

Prep work and taking your time counts. Sanding and finishing it up can be a real pain in the ass!!!!

Key is patience.

I can do it for you as long as you have the original hood.... And cost will be around 100-200 for supplies and done at a place of your choice!!! Pm me for details...

what car is this for? have you checked for the ones already avalible on the market? or is this a one off design needed?
