Digital Camera Help
Ok, So for christmas my parents are gona get me a good digital camera. My current HP 4.1mp sucks and was only 175 when I bought it...cheapy. Well as much as Id love a SLR nikon D50 its just a tad out of my price range Im allowed to pick in. My range is 400 and under. So I have narrowed it down to 2 differnt cameras and I need everyone to pitch in which is better.
1st Choice: Canon PowerShot Pro Series S3 IS 6MP

http://www.amazon.com/Canon-PowerSho...e=UTF8&s=photo
2nd Choice: Sony Cybershot DSC-H2 6MP Digital Camera
http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/spec...sony_dsch2.asp
http://www.amazon.com/Sony-Cybershot...e=UTF8&s=photo
Im really into taken pictures etc...so I need the best I can get for under 400 cause trust me If I had a higher limit id be all over a SLR.

maybe you could look into a used digital rebel.
I've seen them on craigslist in the ballpark of $400.
I'm not sure how well you can set each up, but the
sony seems to be better of the two you've shown.
Mainly because it sports what features i want
(ie custom shutter speed and F-stop settings)
Also, the Canon "G" series is pretty nice, though
i don't know what kinda penny is required to purchase
the newest ones. I have a g3 and it was just what i needed
as a pre-SLR camera.

depends if you want fully automated or not..
You should look for a nikon to throw in there... excellent brand, and ive never been dissapointed with any camera of theirs.
The sony you can adjust many things, and do custom settings, so if you know what youre doing id go with that.
The other one seems good for a digital camera.. so if you want somthing fully automated, go with that. It has nice zoom, and good quality.
Like I said though, look for a comparable nikon.
