Dirty Mother F'in SOBs, I was jacked
So, I'm playing the PS2 with a buddy of mine from out of town.....getting pretty drunk while playing. I go out to my car to get something about 1:45AM-ish, and leave it unlocked because I intended to go back out to my car in a bit and I didn't want to bother anyone with the horn honking for the alarm any more than I had to. It was unlocked 15 minutes MAX. I guess someone was watching me. During this time, an alarm was going off in a SUV close to my car with a guy standing next to it carrying stuff (I saw him out of my apartment window). Alarms go off all the time so I didn't think anything of it at the time. I go back out to to my car a little after 2AM to find my Pioneer CD player, PPI amp, Oakley sunglasses, and my entire CD collection jacked. Mother f*cker. I guess the guy I saw out of my window was carrying MY sh*t. GOD ******. Of course, it took the cops almost an hour to get here to get my report.....and the policeman I talked to wasn't even at my apartment complex for my car break-in.....he was there on a noise complaint.
Anyhow, guess I get to see how much insurance will give me for all my crap.

always lock your car especially in an apartment complex (they have the highest crime rates) doesn't your alarm have a silent arm option most do?It sucks, hopefully the insurance company doesn't give grief over the doors being unlocked

I'm so sorry, that's my biggest fear. When I first moved in my apt I was terrified that my black Camaro was going to get broken into. Luckly I now have a garage so I really don't have to worry about it so much any more.

if you need an estimate for the radio (some insurance wants an estimate) let me know I can do a quote for you (I could probably even do a quote on the PPI even though I can't get them yet)

****, that really sucks. I've never worried about making too much noise here. Hell, it's midnight and the crazy chinese people next door are outside with a brick saw or whatever laying/cutting bricks for the sides of their driveway.

lol. I never worry about noise here. Relativelt secluded, neighbors are wrong and tend to make noise themselves sometimes, so its all fine here.

Well, I have my receipts for the radio, but not the PPI amp.....it was pretty old, but d@mmit, it still worked.
I was trying to be as quiet as possible because I went to my car to get my pack of smokes, and my fiance would be pretty mad if she woke up and found me outside smoking.....
I have all of the cases that the CDs came in when I bought them, I wonder if that would help any....
