wow so far three out of three understand.. im impressed... most people.. esp most young uneducated (i said uneducated, not stupid), which we have alot of on here, immediatley jump at the fact that minimum wage hikes are a good thing..
and your welcome.. ive done several debates on it..
just rememeber what i said next time election and voting comes up for things of this nature..
o and on a side not.. the ones really pushing for minimum wage hikes.. are the people making $70k+ a year, and the unions that support these people.... like i said.. job security

it increases high school drop out rate as kids will drop out more easily since they can make more money... it also decreases the number of entry level jobs (those paying minimum wage) as businesses are not willing to pay the increased rate for labor (instead they invent new techology to take the place of those workers and decrease the number of needed employees)..this also causes companies to make job cuts and possibly fire several of there entry level employees (those making minimum wage).. and it also creates raises and job security for those in well experienced, higher level, well paying jobs, (since there are fewer entry level jobs, there are less ways to get into a field and gain experience needed to move up) this hike in job security also makes those currently in higher level, well paid positions, more valuable since there will be no one to take there place (therefore giving those already making well above minimum wage opportunities for more money and advancement)
i hope you understand what i am trying to say.. the minimum wage hikes basically do exactly opposite of what you would think they would do.. they in virtually no way benefit the "little guy" or those making minimum wage..

eh its not exactly like that.. usually the prices have already gone up.. causing the cost of living to go up (supposedly) and thats the driving force behind the minimum wage hike (like i said supposedly)
