Also The Lord of the Rings series, The Matrix series, War of the Worlds, The Day After Tomorrow, the comic book movies (Spiderman, Fantastic 4, X-Men)... Those were all good ideas, and sucessful just in the 21st century... I dont think they have all been dissapointing, or bad ideas, but I agree that MANY of them have been... but there have also been some good ones

i know from experiance that the absolute worst movie ever was "The Grudge". This movie had some chinese kid run around scaring some chick the whole movie and really the only thing he did was spin his head and make a kitty cat sound..the scariest thing about the whole movie was that some a hole thought it would be scary, but to me and you it was just creepy. i cant believe i paid for me and this chick to see the movie. it was a blind date and the girl was ...ewww... and i couldnt stop calling her dude, and everytime i did she kicked me. that might just have been the worst day in mylife, glad to share it with you guys.
