to be honest 4g63 is pretty compared to alot of other 4 bangers out there, just look at the dsm's that race, you can count them on your hand and none of them are competetive in there classes, i know what power they make and how they do it, really an uphill strugle with the 4g63

What I don't understand is why people so much hp into the car if they are only going to be doing the same time as cars with half the hp. I would have concentrated on hooking issues first. I think the NOPI import (not sure if thats the venue or just the chicks they use) races in the U.S have an eclipse pushing just over a 1000 hp and its in the low 7's . I know another car, a supra, they had a 100o hp or something like that and it only did 13's at the track. His issues was he put his money in all the wrong places.

i have beaten many talons with my integra and it was Naturally aspirated, 350hp is not alot, and i never said that a car was crap i said the motor was, you want to have a dyno competition stock motor to stock motor turbo for turbo built for built , i know alot of other 4cyl that will eat a 4g63, the head doesn't flow well, its a fact sorry, i am just stating it, AWD is wicked on the street no doubt in my mind.

just to state some facts before you go calling your "buddies"

take all the classes in NDRA or NHRA and count how many wins a 4g63 engine in any car has won in any class, then add up all the rest individually, toyota, honda, GM , then come tell me that the 4g63 is the best, take this "world record" hp holder and put him up against the others still not very good. sorry i am not "dissing" the talons or evo's cause i have friends with both, but the facts are the facts.

I think we both have plus and minus as far as choice of vehicles. I agree with porting issues with the 4g63, they arent using the right gen head. I dont take it as a sign of disrespect. I have seen these motors do some crazy stuff and I have to say these motors have earned my respect. Also I agree 350hp isnt alot, but for daily drivers it is enough to make most wannabes think twice about playing and if you need to get out of a jam, you have the power. Bottom line is I can achieve 300+hp for under 3000, that isnt bad with 35mpg.

All cars have good and bad qualities. What separates us from the monkeys is our ability to work around it.
