The answer is blindingly simple.

It is awfully difficult to get and use a handgun legally. You need tests, checks, permits to buy, have, transport up the wazoo. The people who do go thru this are not to blame.

ANSWER:

If you are found with an illegal handgun you GO TO JAIL for 5 years. No proof of crime needed (the crime is having the handgun). No judge to wussie out and send you home to mama. Go directly to jail!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If the crooks know this will happen, they will not carry a gun. BTW, brandishing a handgun at a police officer should give them the right to shoot you on the spot. Cuts court time.

yeah cause thatll st ppeople from carrying guns. if you knew the peopel i know, they dont mind jail. infact i think they enjoy it because of all the sex they get, but thats another topic, but really, they dont have an issue with that palce, so whats to stop them from caryring a weopen.

The people are the problem. Anyone can get a gun illegally these days, its the will to use it thats the problem.

I have travelled all over the US and I can say...they love flashing their pieces and acting hard thinking they are in a rap video. I have seen heat flashed at clubs, bar disputes turn into gun threats, 44s pulled, Glocks pulled (for show).

For some unknown reason the gov here thinks the registry work...umm no its now worse since the guns used are not registered.

Not to worry, I heard our buddy Michael Bryant say about more gun control "no more guns, no more funerals" so don't sweat it the cross-border illegal gun trade is insignificant. We need to go after your Dads 1920s Musket instead.
