Ford Taurus SHO

I found one at the wrecker today, it's a 93-95...I cant remember what he said but it's got an auto trans so it's between those years, and has the 3.2 Yamaha motor.

Does anyone know of any problems with the drivetrains in these cars? I was under the impression that they were pretty strong cars.

This one is red, with 203,000Km on it, and the body is pretty decent....there's no major body damage except the front bumper on the passenger side and a couple little scuffs that look like they could be buffed out.

It was hit in the driver's side and bent the strut, but like I said there's very little body damage.....oh, it needs a windsheild too.

Yea, I've always loved them, there cool....can't wait to fill that HUGE trunk with a new system and maybe do a dual exhaust and cold air kit.

So, no known drivetrain problems?

As a daily, sadly i would go with an import.

I love my honda, beats every domestic i have in my possession (00 concorde lxi, 97 explorer )

For the money you're going to invest, you can go buy a running, cert & etest 4 door civic.

Yea the more I look into them the more people say I should stay away from it.

So maybe I will....but I still wouldn't mind hearing it run and stuff like that.

^ yea, I'm on SHOforum.com and the more I read the less I want this car.....however, I still have hope for it as I haven't heard it run yet...it may very well be a half decent car once the strut is fixed.....MUST drive it....the tranny's are the weak link in these cars apparently

No the sad part is that its the import part Yamaha motor that is the expensive part to fix. Get another stang as a daily driver just keep it stock.
Ok yeah like I could ever do that but its a nice thought

LOL doesn't matter, the SHO got sold before I had a crack at it anyway.

I went back on Saturday, it was sold, but I did find a 2000 Lincoln LS with 160K on it.

He wouldn't say much about about it...must be an insurance thing, but I've requested a phone call when he figures it out.

it's a real nice car...no body damage, but needs a windshield, passenger mirror and a good interior cleaning. Has the 3.9L V8. What's the deal with this motor? I've never heard of it.....is it a Jaguar motor or something?
