Forum Dead...

Well just as the title says, the forum has been dead the past couple of days, whats up.

Mike Jones 07-15-2008 02:51 PM

Got me but it has been getting slower and slower.

First95 07-15-2008 04:15 PM

It has been dead... And I can't decide what rims I want... You know the 18x10.5 rear wheel in the thread I made, I decided that it would probably stick out too far for my liking... But then I saw that they had 4 17x9.5 that I think would suit me a bit better.

These... What do you think?

Or these which are wicked cheap, and pretty cool lookin.

Sorry, I'm pretty annoying with all the rims I'm looking at, but I want to make a good choice.

On the other hand... My dad's Z runs a lot better now that the gerbel got out... of the intake. Not kidding, he found a gerbel (dead obviously), who'd made it's house in my dad's intake box. It brought a bunch of insulation in the box as well.

I'm pretty sure those are the ones I'm going to get now... I've changed my mind so many times lol. But I don't think I could afford many of the other ones... And I really wanted 18's in the rear. I think the black c5 with the machined face are perfect. They're cheap, cool lookin, and more modest than black wheels. Though I have nothing against black wheels, I don't know if I would want them on my car. I only need like 1 more Benjamin to get the c5's too.

I think they'd look great on a white LS1, should be cool! Tell me what tires you get, I don't know the exact size I would need.

squirrelishere 07-19-2008 05:03 AM

With no job and tons of time, I've been doing lots of things. And lots has happened. I've been helping clean up the house, fixing the dang Camaro, applying for Unemployment, looking for jobs, helping a friend fix up his Camaro, going to car shows, etc etc.... Once I start working, it'll all slow down again, so I gotta do as much as I can while I can.

Adric 07-19-2008 07:32 AM

I have just been working all summer 6pm-6am which is gay, but whatever. Camaro is a bit out of comission now due to overheating issue that started when i went to the dells show and while driving a bolt flew out of my bracket that held on my alt and such and ****** everything up. So I retaped the bolt holes and got that all happy then the overheating issues contuined only while driving up the road to my house. It was getting hot, but never very bad. Then lastweek when I got home it got upto 220* which is hot, but not superbad then I parked it and water just poured out from where my waterpump is. I havent had the time to look at it yet. So its just been sitting in the garage with a lake of antifreeze under it.

V6Cam 07-19-2008 11:01 AM

That sucks hopefully all it is a waterpump, last vehicle I had that the water pump went was a horrible situation, i was coming home from South Carolina in my boss's Trail Blazer, made it into PA when the water pump went. Took it to the dealer had it replaced in the morning, left the next morning, got about an hour away from home and the alternator went on the truck which went because of the waterpump going, the coolant f***ed the alternator up in a way i havent seen before. Im just saying this just to check that out also when you look at it, but i hate to say it but i love the peanut butter jelly song, and that video was funny as hell

Son, girl, school blah blah..... dont spend alot of time on here or as much as i used too.
enjoyin the summer fellas.

anyone have plans for their rides this year or in winter?

Mike Jones 07-19-2008 12:26 PM

Well since I'm house shopping that's been keeping me really busy.

Once I get a house I will be busy making it mine. The wife and I put aside a bunch of money years ago that we would use once we bought a house so that'll be fun.

Then I start car shopping for a nice DD. With the money my wife is making and with my promotion at work to bank manager we're trying to decide if I should buy a really nice DD since I need to be more professional at work. The wife wants me to get a Mercedes-Benz or a Jaguar S Type but we'll see. I'm still thinking a Cobalt since they are so incredibly cheap and that would be more money to throw into a Corvette later on.

Adric 07-19-2008 04:49 PM

Chad roll upto work in a shitbeater 3rd gen.. You would get respect then and show you are professional. Did you get another promotion? If you came to work in a Benz id think you were an asshat eventhough they are nice.

Thats pretty much why I choose them two, cheap and good lookin, but I still dont no what tires i have to get. I'll have to wait till I get the rims.

squirrelishere 07-20-2008 12:10 AM

Chad, if you're looking at a house, don't go Mercedes or expensive like that. Stay small(cuz of gas), affordable(cuz of the house in the near future), and reliable. Say you buy a Cobalt for 15k. You can pay it off faster than getting a 30k Benz, thus giving you more money to pay the house off faster. Faster you get out of debt, the better. And since it's your DD, affordability helps you in saving for mods for the upcoming Corvette purchase. That's what I think Chadmeister.

V6Cam 07-20-2008 09:49 PM

The only thing that i dont like about thee G8 is the rear, those taillights look so small compared to the ass that it has, its to open for my taste but other than that i get one

Ive have been gone a 3 long weeks. I moved back home, and the internet here is less than fail. It was like 1.5 megs and only 1 computer would work through our router... so finally after 2 weeks of talking to them they finally upgraded us to 3 megs (yeah, pathetic) and got a wireless router. So today is my first day of use with my computer in 3 weeks really haha.

I havent really been doing much.. Started my job down here, I still need to finish moving in, been hanging out with friends, a new girl.. ect.

Sounds good, whats your job there?

paarman97maro 07-22-2008 01:26 AM

Im working in geek squad still, but now part time. Theres actually a job opening in the school district here for an IT tech, so Im going to apply for that.

diz 07-22-2008 05:15 PM

First95, do you know if you need spacers for the rims.
Actually this is for everybody. I have 18x9.5 rims in the back and some shops are telling me they wont fit. That can't be true.

paarman97maro 07-22-2008 05:34 PM

the rim itself width wise will fit, but are they the right backspacing and such? What rims are they?

ITSA6 07-22-2008 07:31 PM

you done with school justin?

Im 99% sure that they'll fit just fine.

PS - No company should ever tell you "I dont know". They should say "I'll find out".

paarman97maro 07-23-2008 03:05 PM

isnt it supposed to be 120mm not 65mm? maybe im just retarded.

I am 1 class away from my degree - Statistics. And I havent done math in 3 years so I forgot everything so I need to take a basic algebra class again.. Pretty gay, but then at least Ill have a degree in Computer Forensics to work with.

First95 07-23-2008 03:52 PM

No 65mm is just about perfect I think.

diz 07-23-2008 07:36 PM

I went to a different shop today and they said it should work fine.
They ordered the tires today and are putting them on tommorrow!

V6Cam 07-23-2008 11:22 PM

i also thought it was 120mm, but what i just looked up these wheels will work on this application
