Gas prices (why did they go down?)

Ive been hearing we found alot of oil.. but i didnt hear anything on the news.. just by a few friends.. My neighbor says he filled up at 2.37per gallon.. I dont believe him, cause i filled up at 2.66 a few days ago.. but does anyone know anything?

Yeah they are dropping. I saw a thread on another local forum saying they were expecting to be down to around $2 by october or somthing... then they started dropping recently.

Im not sure why, Ill look for the thread now. Im not gonna complain tho, even tho its still high, Im happier.

WERD!!!!! As for the "newly found oil" We won't see any of that for 2 years. Gas prices are estimated to be lower than $2.00/gal by Thanksgiving.

One of the rigs south of texas or w/e dug into a deep part of the ocean which was a tricky thing to do....It seems they found ALOT of oil there they didnt know about. Its a large amount to they said bigger then the reserves in Alaska. Something like that happend...my dad and I saw it on CNN the other morning and he had heard the same at work. So gas is slowly gona go down which is good.

BP says the line that was closed will open sooner than expected, the rise of teh supply helps since gas prices are set by the stock market (one of the most ignorant things ever) I paid 2.76 for premium today, and we have a refinery a couple miles from here

well im not complaining, but since im in california, ill still see higher gas prices than most, grant can relate to this. but if the price really does drop to around 2 or lower im gonna be driving every where i can haha
