Girl pwnt my old high school.
I heard an interesting story from some of friends not to long ago. A girl I know who is crazy/skanky is now a senior at my old high school (one grade behind me). Well, she had gotten mono from somebody and the genius decided to share her drinking glass with most of the girls in both cheerleading and dance line(she is a cheerleader). Well, in the end almost all the girls in both groups got mono and some of their BF's even got it.

reminds me of this one girl that was in my science class, asked the science teacher if she could get sick from talking to someone on the phone that was sick on the other line, no joke. I about pissed my pants laughing so hard.

that is pretty bad tho. I remember once the dance team got together with the basketball team and had like an orgy at this one HS by my old house, one of the girls had chlymidia and next thing you know there's an outbreak at the hs.

infectious mononucleosis is most common in people 10 to 35 years old. Mono is usually transmitted though saliva and mucus--which is where the "kissing disease" nickname comes from. But the kissing or close contact that transmits the disease doesn't happen right before you get sick. The virus that causes mono has a long incubation period: 30 to 50 days from the time you're exposed to it to the time you get sick. also, the virus can be transmitted in other ways, such as sipping from the same straw or glass as an infected person--or even being close when the person coughs or sneezes. Also, some people can have the virus in their systems without ever having symptoms and you can still catch it from them.
After you're infected, the virus stays with you for life, but usually doesn't cause any additional symptoms.Another common mono symptom is fever.
