Girls and cars.
Is your girlfriend/friends that are girls knowledgeable about cars? My girlfriend helped me pull a blown engine out of my old Mazda 323 GTX. That's the only thing we've worked on together.
What does your girlfriend do? You only hear about how girls don't know anything about cars, I'd like to hear about what girls CAN do with cars.

My girlfriend hates automatic and only drives stick.
She knows her car engine's displacement, power AND even the engine code.
She knows what an LSD does, and she's helped me with a few projects but in general she doesn't like getting covered in grease.
And she's hot

My old lady doesnt know much about cars . Except she likes the way some sound . i got her an 86 trans am for the tenth wedding anniver, she loves it ( she didnt want a newer one ).And she made her first trip down the drag strip this yr , loved it , wants to go again .
The first thre runs I drove , she co piloted . Then drove herself .
Funny , the first time she drove it , the car slowed a bit about 2/3,s way down track an I was thinking thats funny , Then I realized she let her foot off the gas a bit cause she likes to drive around 120 k,s on the highway. And its like Baby , your supposed to keep your foot on the floor till you get to the end .
Next , I,m teachin her to do burn outs , and sometimes she forgets to change gears sometimes when she,s manual shifting the ban m ratchet shifter .
She doesnt work on the cars cause that guy stuff..77.

My g/f is a body work chick. She does paint and rust fixing.
She doesn't know THAT much about engines and how they function, but its more than enough for what the "typical" girl should know. She loves american muscle.
She totally understands the "obsession" of my car and modding. I was supposed to take her to a Supra meet for her damn birthday (her idea). To bad the car ran into some difficulties.
She will be accompanying me to cayuga at the end of the month, if she can competently control the car I may let her do a pass.

My wife took auto shop in highschool and can drive stickshift. Since she's sitting right here I'll tell the story about teaching her. I love to embelish it when she's listening. I had an 87 Horizon, (omni) with 2.2l carb, I tweaked the timing, accidentaly broke the air pump, swiss cheesed the air box, the one behind the headlights, etc. ran great, would cook a Probe V6. And there's a purple Probe V6 in Sarnia that will attest to that. He's now a friend. Anyway, we went down to Canatara Park in Sarnia, because it's got a big parking lot, with lots of turns etc, for a driving lesson. She stalled it the first time, but was really close to getting it going. So I said that was almost perfect, just give it a little more gas. Well since she's here, the tire smoke blotted out the sun, scared all the seagulls in a ten mile radius, and those tires were never the same again.
In reality she left a good ten feet of rubber from both tires, and I couldn't say much since I did say "a little more gas". I love telling that story to people when she's right there. She gets all embarrassed, especially since those 30 ft burnout marks are probably still there.
