Well I finally got the gun today. It wasn't in stock so it took an entire week to have it shipped to them. But I have it now so all is good.
This Saturday my brother and I are going to the range so I guess that means I need to stock up on 9mm rounds.

I've never been in the military or a law officer so I don't have the training to deal with the high stress situations you guys do and as such I was thinking this would be good in case I would have to use it. Plus I have hopes that if someone did break into my place just having the gun pointed at them with the laser on would be enough to make them turn and run so I would never have to fire(which is what I really want obviously).

For the price I personally would get a tac-light with an integrated laser. Your pistol has the tac-rail on the below the muzzle- might as well use it. Nice thing about having the light is that you can keep it on your pistol and have a flashlight that goes where ever you point the gun- then if you have a target you can put the laser on it too-
Do a search for either an "M6" or "TLR-2" tactical lights. One of those in combination of getting night sights will ensure you hit your target regardless of the environment lighting...

Honestly I won't be taking the gun with me. In WI it's impossible to get a permit to conceal or carry so it would just have to sit in the truck in its case which wouldn't do me any good even if I needed it to.
