Cops are cracking down on modified cars like no tomorrow. Modified cars being stopped randomly, and getting towed left to right. A guy on the subaru forum got his car towed, and he doesn't even have an aftermarket exhaust.

He came out of the McDonalds.. driving speed limit, and the cop pulled him over and said his car looked unsafe for the roads. I guess the cops are SERIOUS about modified cars this summer.. the guy doesn't even have an exhaust!

I want to get something that can silence my exhaust with a push of a button so when I pull up at a stop light near the cops they don’t pull me over. I saw them do it on a TV show (power block or something) it worked amazing

Stock altima, soon to not be. Exterior will not change, other than wheels, and ride height, it's going down 2 inches in front, a 1/2 inch in rear. Underhood, well, pics will be up, when I get started.

That's pretty ****ed... A couple of years ago my cousin got pulled over by a metro cop. Cop made it fast, told him the car was too low to drive, and took the plates off. Gave my cousin a ticket for Driving Unsafe Vehicle, and he had to get his car towed by a flatbed, get a new safety and get new plates.

I was on my way to Newmarket area on Sunday, and on the 404 there was a ton of cops. One had a white eg hatch pulled over. The car was slammed on steelies. Only thing I saw...

Avenger needs to be dodging them 5 0, cuz they best be leaving bredren out, so he doesn't have to buss a cap in da coppers ass.

I had a 12 sec timeslip, and the car I was building, was a MK2 golf. Had to get rid of basically everything when my wife and I split up.

what are you thinking of doing with altima? boosting it?

Suspension and decent tires first. It's got Hercules all seasons, 205/60/16's on it now, and they're ****ing useless. Spin through second, first useless. Then, I'm not sure I want to boost it, it's got lots of torque, I may just snag an extra 2.5 motor, and build it NA. For now, it's just suspension, tires, wheels, header. Oh, and need to tint the windows. No fart can, maybe CAI, definitely chip. I like the way the car drives, and don't want to change it too much, just get a little more power, and more traction out of it. I'm just going to run it stock in the spring, get my ass handed to me, and have some fun.

this summer is gonna be RAPE x 3. Today I took a break and decided to go cruising for a bit. Saw over 15+ cops in a span of less than 2 hrs (different areas of course). someone said this before and its true "people are getting pulled over left, right and center". like damn, where the hell did all of them come from. good thing i was in my pop's car and not mine. didnt need to be one of the many civics i saw getting pulled over. :dunno:

Here in Brampton I havent seen any more police presence then normal...

For all you who are worried about the mods that are on your car....read the following link and print it out and keep it in your car if you should happened to get pulled over! :thumbsup:

In the past 2 days, I have been followed 6 times and questioned 4 times. I find myself overshifting the hell out of my car so that its quiet. (Read: 60 km/h in 5th gear and 1100 RPM)

I can't believe there werent any cops are Marty's last night. There was some serious there.

A friend of mine saw 2 integra's pulled over with 3 cruisers and an unmarked car, along with 2 tow trucks. This was on the 401. I think he said it was a white one, and a red one. The white one had a front mount, and the red one looked stock.

right off the exit at 7 in the morning.
a ep3 and rsx type s pulled over
both painted type r white.
about 4 cruisers and 4 unmarked suburbans and flatbed truck.
these guys are ****ed.
the ep3 is barely off the ground and rsx is heavily modded.

4 suburbans? damn, never saw cops in suburbans... yet.

you wanna see crazy, we were in the falls on sunday jsut for somethuing to do and pull ito the local hangout and theres a cruiser there. unmarked white withthe black wheels. no markings on it at all except when your headlights hit the side of the car and all the stickers started to glow. pretty cool if you ask me

Theres a Dark Green Ford Excursion in Barrie that pulls people over Ive seene it for the past couple years. Its big but it blends right in, no one slows down around it, never think it would be cops.

yeah ive seen those a few times now, been around for a little over a month, they look pretty cool.

the new police cars, like the toronto police ones look completely retarded with that new design. the old one looked atleast professional. this one reminds me of a rainbow popsicle

I thought it looked like rent-a-cop. New design looks stupid, the stealh cruisers are cool though.

There is zero advantage to this new design, other than feeding lucrative paint and body and vinyl contracts to people they probably know.

Just like OPP, with their black and whites...umm why? "Cause its more visible" to whom the color blind. And then they had all the OPP brass posing in front of the Ford Plant smilling and shaking hands...hmm ya think it was all smoke and mirrors to get some business for floundering Ford and the people in Ontario that work there?

Ford would have had the business anyways, regardless of OPP colour scheme.

The St Thomas plant is the source for Crown Vics, and the Crown Vic is still the most popular and proven general scout car platform there is.

Chevy's new Impala doesn't meet police flett requirements, and the Dodge Charger and Magnums haven't proven very popular because of limited interior space, poor visbility as a result of the high-beltline and "chopped" look greenhouse styling, and questionable durability under police fleet use conditions.
