The store isn't paying the bills, so i went and got a job selling auto parts. It's with http://www.qaparts.com/ not too bad, i sit and answer phones all day, and get paid a commission on everything I sell, and make the same as advance offered me for store manager

Sorry Arch, but thats life. Sometimes i feel like I'm working to put my son in daycare. But the only reason he's in daycare is cuase i work. I knwo it's not true but it feels like it sometimes.

I know what you mean, not sure what daycare is there, but here it's $250 a week, which is about the same as a part time job

Sorry to hear that, it sucks working for other people.

My brother and I are currently working on starting a buisness. I've tested the water's and went in a little last year and already made back about 500% profit. Obviously I wouldn't expect that but we're hoping it'll be enough to keep our jobs but make a lot of extra money to put into our 401K's so we can retire early.

Your basically doing the same thing my old store manger did. He left and went to another store to be the commercial sales man, now he makes more money and is working less hours then when he was a store manger.

I always make a little side money plus my job so it isn't that bad. I'm going to wait for my one year review (late December) and see if I get a pay rise. If I don't get a decent boost in pay then I'm gone like the the wind.
