LOL, nix0rs, I was having the same annoying problem. Go to your "User CP" and you'll find a way to turn off the notification option there. Good luck!

user cp -> edit options ->
* disable; Receive Email from Administrators
* set; Default Thread Subscription Mode to Do not subscribe
