Or the 1970 hemi cuda that went for $600,000.00 US on barret jackson? Plus comission.
A '87 GTA with 11000 original miles sold at Barrett-Jackson for $30800.. By no means a "rare" car either.
A car pretty much identical to this

lol theyre both pieces of , the only difference the piece of ford product cost twice as much as the piece of gm product when it came out. you really wanna start comparing compare the ease of working on either piece of under the hood. a probe motor is a nitemare to get out, the vac line spider web is one of the worst ive ever seen. the motor is a ********** to get out. i kow, we pulled outone a while back. the motor in my piece of came out in a couple hours, thats including dropping the tranny, unbolting the turbo and all the accesories to get it out. went back in a little harder because solid steel mounts are a little pita to align, but it went in fairly easily other than that.
in the end, your comparing 2 pieces of to eachother and in the end, theyre both econo box pieces of , just like any low end hondas, just like any daewoos, kia's and hyundais. all pieces of

Dude..
When, anywhere, did I say that my Ford (technically a Mazda, but let by-gones be by-gones) was easy to WORK ON?
I know what they're like to work on, I'm a mechanic. I also understand turboing them in next to impossible.
That is honestly the weakest argument I have ever heard.
And also, the Probe was tehcnically marketed as a "sports car", whether it is actually one or not, the goddamn cavalier is anything but a sports car. I agree, just like a honda. But there are some hondas I can respect.
i cant think of any J-Bodies that I respect. I'm very proud of you that you Turboed your car, its an accomplishment that not many people do. Hell, your car will most likely hand my car its ***. In terms on stock vs. stock, I would rather take the Probe, in an UNBIASED opinion.

unbiased i prefer the stylings of the probe, i think the second gens have gorgeous lines and the motors sound like sex. that and they can be made to handle pretty good, my buddy dimas, if your on the probe forums youll know him as proboner, had a pretty cool pgt. it took a klze swap and was the first all motor pgt to go low 14's in its time. after that it turned into a turbo pgt and eventually landed in my buddies hands with a blown motor. we had it apart and had a low milage klze for it and ended up getting rid of it. the car was a nitemare under the hood, it really was. but the interior on those cars is nice, the seats are very supportive and the car overall is a sexy car. in the end, its still an econobox. i dont classify any car thats fwd as being a sports car, i really dont, thats just me.
also for the record, my car doesnt just have a turbo, its got a list of goodies longer than my arm, from the suspension to the bult motor, meth injection, and different tranny to the lightened flywheel and stage 4 clutch from spec. the car is far from stock. ive got about 15 grand just under the hood of the car, that doesnt include my 3 inch stainless mandrel bent exhaust of course which in itself was worth a few dollars. the cars a money pit and i just cant seem to get rid of it, i really cant. if i had the choice to build another fwd car it probably would be a second gen pgt with a built motor and a big turbo. thats just me though, but in the end theyre both pieces of no matter how you look at it, both are econo boxes no matter what the brochure says.
now what i do plan on doing in the future is something v8, rwd of course and a turbo on that. maybe a turbo fox body, maybe a turbo vette, possible a c4 as i love the looks of the later year c4's. who knows, itll be something fun and something thats considered a sports car.
in the end though, no matter how good my car handles, no matter how good it stops and how hard it snaps your head into the seat, its still an econo box thats taken a downpayment on a house from me, lol.

yeah im pretty sure it was probe talk, hes all over the place goes as proboner, well used to be, he got married, gave up his ***** and drives a family car now, lol. what it all really boils down to though is that we drive what we like and what we can afford to drive. i built the little red rocket beacuse i wanted somethign completely different and wen i baught it in 99 there werent any real fast ones around. so why not try something other than a honda civic

i think you're mistaken
the guitar was sold for 79,950, and the car was thrown in on the deal for 50 bucks.. but only because the paint matched the sweet *** guitar
