He might be. But i'm refering to the fact that there is no 18 or older clause to join this board, there might be younger readers here. Just have a little respect. Being a father I'm a bit sensitive to this subject.

yes, it says at the beginning about thelanguage and all of that. It's simple: asterisks or just use another, non-offensive word. Widen your vocabulary!

As long as we don't start seeing WT* popping up all over the place, it's okay.

I will warn you though, I remember that I started swearing in Grade 5, so be prepared. It also makes me wonder if we get ignorant to the fact that children DO swear as we get older. I don't know why I'm so shocked to hear 12 year olds swear, when I was younger when I started.

Wow, I just had a deep thought. Now I know what Jack Handey must feel like.

that does pop up all the time actually.....

I was swearing in like 4th grade or so, but some people(not just the children) don't like swearing and don't want to have to listen to it/read a post full of it. So that's what the whole rule is for. I know grown adults who don't want to hear it in real life, so its safe to say the internet has some, too.

Let's test this: WTF ... wtf ...

I know grown adults like that too, I call them "Grandpa and Grandma"... and "Mom". I'm one of the grown adults who does not fit that mould. I think Chris Rock and Denis Leary should be shown in public schools.

there are other people than grandma, grandpa, and mom. I work with quite a few who are like that.

i dont think children are starting to swear more, its just noticed more. people swear at such a young age, but these days its more and more common to swear so we dont hide it under our breathe anymore. take TV for example. now a channel can have the words sh*t and f*g after 10 pm. thats a big step. no, its not during regular daytime programming, but i'm sure people 10 or 20 years ago couldnt have imagined that the words sh*t, f*g, and a would be on TV

The only reason that are on TV is because of the Discovery Channel.
