1) I think techno/dance should not count, it's just sound moslty, not SONGS!
2) I don't have any music on MY computer because my Roommate has 42 000 songs on the network (yes gigabit), real songs by real artist!! and 750 movies (all full DVD rips, or purchased DVD's)
edit: I think it's around 200gigs, and total storage space on our network is about 1.2 terabytes

You come right here, and try to Mix, and Produce SOUND as u put it.
I may have all Techno/Trance/House, but that kind of music also shows me more appriation for the other types of Music.
You try remixing Pink Floyd.

That when we count "who has more music" we try to focus on produced music that would have been put on albums and sold in stores. I'm sorry if I offended you in any way, I acutally am quite impressed with several mixes, and I know I would have no chance making anything that sounds as good.

I'll accept what you said, and I'll apologize too since I did use unnecessary language.
But you did say, Music that would have been put on Albums and sold in Stores, Last I checked, Trance/House/Dance/Techno is sold in stores.
In Canada, this type of music isnt as popular, and when I go to HMV or whereever, they usually have what 1 shelf for this type, but go to Europe and You'll see how popular it is there.
and one more thing,

TurboH22Civic - firstly, Vinyl or CD, and what kind of DJ gear did u have and do u still have it.

which is why I split my Music.
Downloading and Buying.
If there is an artist I like, I'll go buy his/her music, and support them.
but if there is like only 1 or 2 songs I want, then I'll just end up downloading them.
and most of my Techno/Trance cant be found in North America, so only choice for me is to find them online.

No, I don't feel like it's killing the industy at all. Do you see poor pop-stars on the street? Is MGM studios claiming bankrupcy? NOPE. And the people who download all this stuff are enthusisest, like my roommate, he has more cd's and DVD's then anyone I know. and half the music I listen to is becuase I hear it on "shuffle"

A bit over 9000 songs which generates me 1777 hours 48 minutes 30 seconds of listening. I cover most genres except for RnB and HipHop, just have a few of those.
It's mostly Rock and electronic music.
