I am bored as hell.

Well as it says im bored so i thought i would let you guys know how my job is going. we still have a few projects in the shop, a few things we just finished. we had an 88gt with a s/c that we did rear gears and a shift kit in, it was the first time i had ever done rear gears, so there was a learning curve there. but all turned out well. we had a 90 corvette that was throwing some codes so we rebuilt a lingenfelter throttle body and got it running again. that thing was a piece and a half, the paint was all faded and it was missing parts. we have an 99 saleen with a roots style supercharger in the shop now, it had bad o2 sensors, bad MAF, the intercooler pump wasn't working, and the fuel pump we were having troubles with, it was only making 190hp...... so got those problems fixed and its being dynoed tonight most likely. we still have this 72 stingray vette in the shop that we are converting to EFI but we have had nothing but problems getting parts for it for some reason. it took forever to get the intake polished, but its a nice car. 502 Big block everything has been done real nice with stainless steel and AN fittings. we still have this black 88gt that we did an engine, he had an old 5.0 and we put in a 347 stroker and the powerdyne supercharger, the customer is looking for 400 - 500hp but we need to make an intake for it, which has been nothing but an uphill battle. We had a guy that had just moved up from san Francisco with a Z32 300zx twin turbo, very nice car, said he has about 12k invested and was just looking for a shop so im looking foward to getting that thing in there on the dyno. we did a diesel truck today too, exhaust, tune and an edge box, which is basically a boost controller + timing afr all kinds of stuff. this truck was gigantic, but a fairly easy job. hah last week we had to install a small EGR gauge in a 38ft motorhome... needles to say that was a pain in the ***.

Heres a list of cars ive gotten to drive since ive worked there.
02 zo6
99 saleen supercharged mustang
96 351 supercharged saleen mustang
svo turbo mustang
99 cobra supercharged dynoed at 531hp
66 mustang fastback 5.0 with a 5 speed, beautiful car. i got to do a few dyno puls on this.
03 focus with a powerworks supercharger
78(i think) elcamino pretty much stock.
03 S2000
99 lightning dynoed at 498hp
Thats all i can remember....

But all in all ite been a fun job and im learning a ton, we don't see too many chevys in there but we get a few. and we get a few odd ball things comming in, like a sand rail and a mazda champ truck.

nah i won't be getting a ford, unless its a 66 fastback. but thats not happening. i dig working on the cars but i really don't like how they look and for what you pay the are severly underpowered, thats why almost everything that comes in has a super charger, you can only get so much out of a 281ci engine, and i haven't seen anything bigger than a 347 in any of the fords we have had in there, and one is in the bosses drag car and the other has a supercharger on it. i think once i start making some more money the 240 is going to get an engine, brakes, wheels, coilovers. and then ill start shopping around for another first gen.
