it's the biggest oxymoron that those who swear their lives for the civilian are the most hated by civilians...
nobody goes into the law enforcement (police force especially) because they want to **** people off...
they do so to help. and yet everyone hates them and always complains...

because most of the time when they help, they're more than likely either 1) being a **** about it, or 2) being an ******* about it. If a guy pulls someone over and is really nice about it, most people ain't gonna complain that much. I remember once when my dad got pulled over for speeding and got written a ticket and the cop said "Just be careful, sir, there's deer around here and I don't want to see you getting your nice car messed up from hitting one.." and we never complained one word. Dunno, maybe it's just us tho?

i can understand that. but it's the field of law ENFORCEMENT.
i'd imagine if the police were much kinder in everything, there would be less incentive to not break the law. But some police are very hot-headed, i'll agree with that. but if they don't, for lack of a better word coming to mind, discipline the law with force, it's not going to be as intently obeyed.
or so it seems. i may be wrong, it's just my sight on the situation.
i just think they deserve more respect than they get.

90% of the people I hear complain about cops seem to have alot of run ins, and just facial expressions can give the cop a bit of insite, be polite appologize, and be glad they are there

Very true, I've been pulled over a couple times but have never gotten a ticket. I'm very respectfull to them and if I was wrong I freely admit it and give them the respect they deserve. It's obvious they appreciate it because of all the trash they deal with every day and they're willing to cut you slack.

Yeah they don't enforce the tint law here much I have never had a problem but that does'nt mean there wont be one later you never know what cops are going to do when they get bored of eating donuts.

all depends on the cop, the situationa, and all that. Some of the stuff that cops do I feel are stupid, but then that's because the laws are stupid. Ryan's had all kinds of run-ins with them, and rarely does he complain about them. Only the ones that are jerks, rude, stop you for the most idiotic reason, and think they are the absolute. And trust me, he's been pulled over for some major crap.

Ok, I understand where everyone is coming from here- being a couple steps away from being a law enforcement official I see both sides.

The tint law does have bearing on those people who drive. If your windows are limo dark all the way around it does make it hard to see and can also make you a hazard. But like what was said earlier- the law if for the safety of the police officer. If you were constantly pulling vehicles over all day long dealing with people who do nothing but ***** about getting caught for knowingly breaking the law, wouldn't you get sick of it? Yeah, maybe you caught the one jerk of a cop who is on a power trip and only went into law enforcement because he was picked on as a kid and now has a personal agenda to make the lives of everyone around his crappy. But just like Chad said if you are respectful and honest to them you are more likely to come away happy then pissed off.

I have been pulled over a mulitude of times in many different vehicles for just about every infraction out there. But 9 out of 10 times I drive away happy because I didnt' get a ticket.

Sorry, it never ceases to amaze me that people complain that they caught and get a ticket for knowingly breaking the law. "I can't believe that cop gave me a ticket for going 75 in 65..."

Oh yeah- one more thing. There are NO TICKET QUOTA'S!!! Its called "An acceptable level of productivity" if that makes you feel better.

I understand the limo tint, as I've stated quite a few times in this thread I believe, but 35% is not dark at all, you can very very very easilly see in even on a cloudy day with my limo hatch. All it does is slighly tinge the color of the window, but it's enough that it looked really good on my car.. I knew I was breaking the law, but the guy that put it on reassured me that his business has done 35% all the time and no one has gotten pulled over. Lastly, I'm always very polite and respect to the cops, my only downside is I'm nervous so I'm not mister social, but I still am polite say sir and thank you and sorry and all that, and I haven't gotten a break.
