Talking I LOVE Bose!

I bought NFS Carbon a couple days ago and i didnt like the sound i was getting from it. So i went and bought a nice sound card and while i was at it i bought the Bose Companion 3 speaker/sub set. Was like $250 but SO nice!

I have the bose headphones that were pretty spendy as well and love those so thought id give these a shot. Oh my god are they nice! You dont realize the difference it makes before you put a set on your system. Purely amazing. You hear stuff in games and music that you didnt notice that was there.

Just thought id share my happiness

bose is overpriced, you can get alot of things at the same price that sound better. Best in computer speakers is tough the hk ones are nice (that's what I have) as for home there a re a few and hk is in the middle ground, bose is considered entry level (think audiovox) my hk system was only $100 too

I think were forgetting a lot depends on what sound card you have to allow you to get that level of sound.

car audio? i can answer that! for the money,go with polk subs, but if you can afford it ,go with jl audio.they make pretty much the best all around subs.i personally have a 12w7 and am upgrading to a 13w7, wich is really overkill for the average joe, but i think two 10" jl w6 subs in a camaro running a jl500/1 jl amp are perfect for you.that is the setup i once had.
