Couldn't be that possibly the guy was there watching, drinking and having a 'good time'- he leaves and then smokes some people standing by the side of the road? I think that might still relate to street racing.
I totally understand the thrill and high you get from street racing. I did it once- about 6 years ago, but it was middle of the night on a straight flat road with only a couple people there. Ended up getting caught but not charged which was a miracle. The track is a lot more fun IMO. You get to see a lot more cars, don't have to constantly watch behind your back for cops, and don't have to worry about getting your license pulled and going to jail. Not to mention the walls down the track protect the bystanders from getting plowed into.

plus you get time cards and all the cool benefits of the timer system and you can go up to any old joe you think u can beat and be like "hey, line up against me?" and usually the people at the track are just as cool and smart(prolly way smarter actually, hehe) than the jocks on the street.

I have no problem with street racing if its done semi responsibly, Where we used to street race in Florida there was absolutely no traffic at all at night and there was one way in and one way out, If another car was coming we could see them coming from a long way off.

I saw some of the street racing when I was in Florida and it was completely insane. The most hardcore racing I have ever seen in my life.

Yea street racing is stupid, I'll admit I street raced for a lil while when I first got my DL. But That soon changed after I watched two of my friends die in a car crash during a street race. Still to this day I have flash backs of it when im driving sometimes. If you want to race take it too the track, Dont say ohh the road is clear and you could see if anyone is coming because there is always the risk there.
