job offer
well i got a call from the big o tires here in valencia this morning. i went and talked to em, they really liked me. they said i had a "very pleasant presence" so i made a good impression, as i always do in interviews. they seemed concerned that i was going from a sales position back to technician. i assured them i was perfectly comfortable, they went and talked about it with eachother, and offered me 9 per hour with the option of 5 or 6 days a week, and after 90 days an evaluation with possible increase in hourly and commission.
so if i worked 5 days i'd make 200 less per month than i am now, or if i go 6 days i'd make 200 more per month. i also have that warehouse job with 10 per hour, but its only a straight 40 hr week, so i'd get about 400 less per month.
sound like a good deal? i spend about 65 a week in gas, and another 40-50 on food. i wouldnt drive more than 6 miles a day and would have the option of coming home for lunch if i worked here...whatcha think?

So you work 5 days and make 200 less, you work 6 you make 200 more... What is this median you are working now to equal that out? haha..
Also, how does $1 more an hour give you $400 less a month. Thats $800 every bi-weekly pay, youre making $1,000 every two weeks now, which means youre working roughly 55-60 hours a week now?

yes paar. im working 55 hours per week now. its closer to home. but they called me back earlier asking me to come back and talk to their service manager. hes 18 and has these big *** holes in his ear. its weird. he asked me about lift kits, electrical, engine diag, that kinda crap. i dont do any. i just do suspension, brakes, tires, etc. i think he needs someone to do all that bull. so i dont know how its going to go now.

ive done **** liek that before. .make them agree to a week or weekend you need off lol.. tell em you already got plane tickets to go out of town or your going on a mission trip or something haha

well i have 4 paid vacation days. if i give my two weeks notice tomorrow, my last day will be the 23rd. then i take my vacation the 19, 20, 22, and 23. i have wednesdays off, so that means i get an entire week off work...paid!
