see im all about a nice handleing car. but really if i can get this stang for even 13 grand, i wont touch that with an ls1 car. an ls1 car un modified runs for that with higher milage. ive been looking, nothing really with an ls1 thats worth looking at under 15 grand. and i seriously doubt that ill insure an ls1 car for less than i had my cavy insured for, cavalier, trans am. 2 different vehicles, ones a throw away car, the other is a sports car. lol. ill see what the future brings, right now im really horny for a bike. i was talking to a guy today with a newer 600 ninja, says he pays 1100 a year for insruance, thats not too bad at all

Did any races ever happen here? As far as i noticed everyone is just talking, then coming up with an excuse to cancel what their mouth got them into............. By the way how did you get the idea of doing anything to a cavalier. I understand getting a nice cheap car and making it go fast. But cavalier is just a shitbox no matter how you try it will still end up a shitbox with a facelift, just a suggestion for next car - pick a car that catches the eye when you drive it, because 99% of the time you still doing the speed limit, might as well get some reward for all the work you put into it. Too bad your car fell apart... (well its a cavalier wut did you expect) otherwise id love to read about it happening during the race. You said that cavaliers are more reliable, but talon is still on the road.
Stop talking about miata. Its still looks way better then a cavalier no matter from which side you look at it. And suzuki is just a suzuki. Looks like a matchbox car. Yeah its probably nice at offroad. But why dont you try an ATV its small, and definitely will handle much better then all of the big trucks can, with not that much of adjustments required.

This whole site is one big smack talking section. Too many kids with mommys Hondas running their mouth... pathetic. Hopes and dreams abound, but at the end of the days there is 1 nice car for every 100 riced out shitboxes on this board. Get a real car, a real job that makes some real coin and then come back when you have something worth writing about.
It's hilarious how the ricers love slamming cars that were designed from the ground up as sports cars - the miata is based on the lotus elan of the 60's, and the engineers at Mazda dictacted the design, not the accountants. All hondas and likewise were designed as budget grocery getters with less $$$ in mind.
As for this thread, I'll vouch for the Cavy based on the description of the car and the equipment used. From what I have read this talon is practically falling apart and will never be in any races, except maybe for e-racing, LOL.

paid 12 500 for the car in 99, total money invested into it including the cost of the car was about 30 grand. that incudes the motor, short geared tranny, all my suspension, etc etc etc. couldnt give you a total time for how long everything took to do
