Just Bought A LapTop
 

Really more of a spur of the moment purchase than anything. I've been looking at buying another computer that I could use to do all my video editing that I've been trying to get myself into. Next year I'm really going to go out of my way to get tons of different FBody video's that I can use to make video's. I just interviewed for a higher position at Panera and if I get it I will make my own schedule so I could get the day's off I want. If I don't get it I'm going to quit, I was offered another job today for more money already.
Anyways the laptop is set up for wireless internet which I already have at home for my wife's laptop. It has a DVD burner so I can finally make some DVD's, it has a firewire port so I can upload video's off my camcorder onto the laptop. Right now I have to upload them to my wife's computer and then transfer them to my computer.
It's actually faster than my desktop computer but my desktop is plenty fast for me since I don't do gaming.

Ok I was about to send the money for it and now the seller isn't registered on eBay anymore. This scares me. I'm going to conact eBay and see what to do. I don't want to send money and never get the laptop.

I've emailed him three times with no response. I will not pay for it until I know what's going on.

I can't find the eBay chat link that let's you talk with eBay employees with your questions. If you know where it is please give me the link.

Good Idea, dont send it before you find out. I had a seller do this once, after I sent my money. Not a good idea.

He had other auctions up, two where for other laptops and the rest where for different parts for laptops. It just really scares me. His feedback isn't bad and he has plenty of it so it's not like he just joined up trying to scam people out of money.
His auction says you have to pay within 48 hours and I would have but he's ignoring my emails.
I still can't find the link to the online chat and that's really annoying.

dont send the money!! that happened to me but after i already payed for it, some amp kit and i never got it b/c the seller wasn't registered anymore. they were a power seller too...kinda sucks i didn't use paypal

It sucks because it was the exact laptop I wanted for a good price. The price wasn't crazy cheap but it was still ok.

Consider yourself lucky though, at least you caught that and didnt get scammed out of your money! You did the right thing by waiting.

I was able to get ahold of the guy by not going through eBay. Apperantly eBay suspended his account because he threw in some CD's of programs he didn't have the rights to. Seemed like a good guy because he said he'd understand if I didn't send him the money for the laptop so we agreed I'd go somewhere else. I almost feel bad for him but it's just not worth the risk.

On a possitive note I found another laptop in Kenosha for sale for a good deal. I just shot the guy an email so we'll see if I end up buy this one.

Well I was talking to the local guy and said I would pick it up today. I was suppose to call him at 7:00pm today to set up the time to pick it up. Well he didn't answer so I sent him several emails.
He finally returns one and says he just sold it. How low is that? What a prick!
