I'm kinda iffy about the whole FnF series. The first one was entertaining when it first came out. It was really a "First of its kind" sort of movie.

Whereas Gone In Sixty Seconds had an engaging storyline, and excellent acting, FnF was cheesy, and had terrible acting. But, what made FnF so good was the action and the fact that all these cars were racing around and doing things that I'm sure we've all fantasized about doing on the open road.

However, people forget that movies do not equal reality. They're an escape from reality. This led to a huge boom in the 'Ricer' culture. Cities were facing a new epidemic... idiotic 17 year olds in their parents minivans or in their crappy little 89 Civics thinking they were driving Skylines and Supras, racing about and causing hell, including accidents and deaths.

When the second movie debuted, people feared the worst. Would the ricer culture hit another boom? Thankfully, no. The ricer culture had stabilized. Some people had grown up since the movie and realized "Okay, why am I acting like a moron and almost killing myself and/or others?" and moved on. A few stayed, and a few new clowns joined the ranks. The third movie was much of the same.

The reason is that they don't have the same feel to them that the first one brought with it. Movies that have really successful sequels are successful because they still keep you on the edge of your seat, they encompass you, you are engaged to the action. The other two movies didn't have the spark of FnF1.

My favorite of all three is, of course, FnF1. The other two... [shrug]. Whatev.

I liked the Yenko and the Challenger in the second one. All of the muscle cars they put in the movies are amazing. More or less the 69 Charger that was in the first one was my favorite

It was just done for the movie, it's not like someone had to drive it every day. It had to look pretty for the camera, that's it.
