The same Christian groups denounce Easter celebrations as well, given that the traditional Easter bunny is actually yet another bit of pagan symbolism.

Still you seem to have your gaze stuck on Muslims for whatever reason. Pity, because that fixed gaze makes it impossible for you to see the rest of the things that shape our society.
Good job picking out the extreme cases...The only Christians who are opposed to Christmas/Easter are opposed because they question the Bible's validity on when Jesus was born and when he died...Thus it's not right to just "choose" a holiday(there's no proof on any of the exact dates)

That said, halloween is far from a religious/Christian holiday but it's part of the Canadian/American culture...I wouldn't want my kids to miss out on trick or treating, it's a part of being just that - a kid. Just like Christmas is a holiday to people here who aren't even religious...and Easter etc etc. Soon, immigrants will be saying Thanksgiving shouldn't be allowed.

However you want to put your twist on it, the fact still remains that it's largely immigrants who promote this push(thus why I can't say Christmas without offending someone, not that I give a what they think anyways)....them and certain extreme liberals. It's more evident in ontario than elsewhere also, if you've noticed. Ontario is still largely liberal and obviously the government is...They know that they're not going to sway conservative voters so they've always bent over backwards sucking up and doing whatever the newcomers want...by doing so, they've gained their votes. Have you looked at the commercials lately by the ontario government specifically about additional funding, all sorts of special training programs etc for new immigrants? Yea, meanwhile somebody born here has to fork out their own money for said training + pay for theirs...+ be chosen after a new immigrant in most cases. It's all related.

Well let's see...The US is far more conservative and right wing than Canada ever has been or ever will be. It's no secret. Especially in where you're from...Ah yes, Louisiana. Whether you're talking Republican or Democrat in that state, core conservative values will be the accepted way of life. It's not a liberal state by any means. I was there just over a month ago. Moreover, even in the liberal states, it's nothing like here...
