Not to thread jack or anything... more of a question for arch, but if anyone else knows, chime in. I just picked up an HD antenna today after watching the game with one at work.. Problem is I only have 1 ant. input for cable. Is there some device around this so I can have my regular cable, and the antenna for HD channels hooked up at the same time?

get a diplexer, or an a/b switch. My cable has the hd, and the on demand on all the time (I have basic for the internet) The toshiba did a bit better in magazine reviews than the samsung this year also (both were in the top 3 in most reviews)

Last night I just found a splitter I had laying around and tried that and it worked. I went from finding 71 channels through coaxial to 375. Theres a few HD ones, but Ive only seen them at 720, I guess I cant pick up the 1080 ones. Theres a few that just changed numbers and are in the 100s but they have less graininess. Its well worth the money I paid for it. Thanks for the help.

99% of broadcast hd is 720 (even alot of the hddvd's are only 720)

my HD from Comcast swaps to 1080 when im on a HD channel but stays on 720 on non HD channels.

But the Xbox 360 Elite comes with a HDMI connector that supports 1080p, even if its hard to find movies or channels with it. I want it for gaming and dvd's.

Im so pissed though, I wanted that Samsung that night, but they wouldnt approve me for 2k on the spot with the credit card, and i've spent all my money on christmas. It was 3 years no interest at best buy.

Arch, do you know anywhere I can get that Samsung cheaper than best buy?

check local stores, a set that size is almost a waste to buy online due to shipping (truck freight is outrageous to a home) keep in mind the xbox fakes 1080p (it really only has a processor that can detect 780 and then upconverts it, and from what I have read it sucks at it the tv does the same thing only better)

the pros also come with an hdmi port, and it doesnt go up to 1080p... i think its only 1080i, and the ps3 is 1080p.

I dunno arch, my 360 and my tv look ******* . It may upconvert, but games and hd movies look damn good to me.

hm... definitly havent seen any of that. I have been wowed by my tv and HD... I almost get more satisfaction out watching hd movies than ****. hahaha

I just got my 5 free HD movies in the mail last night finally... swordfish, the hulk, aeon flux, troy, and the frighteners... I didnt really want that movie though, Im gonna try to exchange for a different one. I watched Batman Begins last night... I love that movie.
