Looking For Part-Time Work

Hi my name is Darryl Saunders and I am 16 years old.

I love cars and am looking to get some part-time work geared around cars or motorcycles.

I live near Erin Mills and Dundas

here's my suggestion. make an email like darryl.saunders@hotmail.com ; its more professional that way instead of nascarmanic@....

oh, and spell/grammer check your resume and dont include stuff like i gathered pucks :retard: it doesnt make the task look good or whatever

not being a dick, but employers like it when they see stuff like this.

That is a horrible resume.

This must be a joke, if not, then you should return to grade six.

Ya thanks for the bad criticism because it has showed me i displayed my "rough copy"

P.s. could u delete the first 2 post by drift and shift and super adam

i don't believe your 80% average.....that has to be the worst resume i have seen .............a student who gets 80% should have a better resume. For now ...go to McD's

Do you already own your own squeegee and bucket?

Realistically, you have no apparent skills to speak of as far as cars and bikes go.

Interest is a plus, but interest without industry-related accomplishments puts you at square one. The smaller shops probably won't be able to offer you anything, but you may have a chance at one of the bigger new car dealerships as a car washer, lot jockey and general gopher guy. From there you might be able to work up over time.

But gopher guys are a dime a dozen. Be prepared to put in a lot of applications.

Queen and Spadina in the city. I think the current squeegee kid there is taking the season off.

in regards to skills should i include knowledge of tools? is that really a skill?

How bout the work I have done in auto shop at school, Ive worked on the tire machine, removed everything from radiator to alternator, catalytic converter, torn down an entire engine, hooked up a car to b e towed, balanced wheels. I completely forgot about auto shop it didn't make it into my resume.

obviously. gear your resume towards the job. if you apply for a cashier job, no need to put all that. if you are looking for a automotive type job, yes, put that in and be somewhat descriptive. to be honest, at 16 you arnt gonna get a job with cars, liek a mechanic. if you want to go into something with cars, apply to like canadian tire, but more importantly, although it wont pay, be an apprentice at a shop.
