damn that was a nice taste. the shop manager left at 5 and let me close. it felt good having that kinda power. i feel i could really be serious management material. i handled customers so well, and all the employees liked me cuz i wasnt breathing down their backs.

Its a really hard medium to find. If you're nice they'll walk all over you, if you're on them for everything little thing they'll do just enough to get by and your employee retention will go down.
It's a fine line you have to be one.

Most people when promoted start off as the nice guy everyone likes but the longer they are in managment the stricter they become because they seperate themselves from the normal employees and only look at the numbers.
