I know there's some fast MX6 turbos out there.... I can't say that I've seen any personally, as you really don't see many around...but I know that they are out there... Once the MAP is defeated, turbo upgraded, bottom end fortified, and fuel dealt with.... they'll fly like anything else that has a bunch of boosted air being rammed into it.

as an mx6 owner, even i will admit that the majority of mx6 owners are slow *** ricers, especially the 2nd gen v6 lovers...
either way, allan, if you want to see what an mx6 is capable of, ill give you a run, but you better be running at least 10's otherwise its a waste of c16...

first off the 2.2 turbo that came stock in the first gens is a dead end at anything above 250/350 hp/trq... useless sohc truck motors. that motor will never see 10's in the mx6/probe shell, ever
im running a dohc 2.0 motor that never came to north america, and is rather limited in production. imo, this is probably the best non rotary engine mazda has put out, and it is powering fwd mazda's into the 9's, and has done 8's overseas in a rwd truck, amoung others

The MX6's aren't super fast cars. The first gens came with 2.2L engines. (DX and LSs). The GTs were 2.2L turbocharged. The first gens were all about torque.
The second gens came with 2.0L I4 (116 HP or something like that) and V6's (164HP 160FTlbs). You can pick the Jspec KLZE engine up which would give you 200HP and 164FTlbs.
People are right though when they say that the MX6's aren't fast in the quarter, because they're not. Stock... However with some mods (mostly breathing) they can run pretty decent numbers.
In closing... Don't be hatin' on the Mazdas. :thumbsup
