Some dumbass DSM'r actually did that. I remember seeing the pictures of half of his index finger cut off. Because he wanted to see if he could stop the turbo spinning.

10000rpm? Um...yea. that's it. Try MUCH faster
At idle it doesn't move fast....Many people prime turbos by holding the nut on the comp wheel when starting the car
