Ok I talked to my brother who is a software engineer today and basicly I need some more ram to run all the different kind of programs I use since they are pretty intensive.

I currently have a dell inspiron 8200(I know, nothing special or new) with a 2.2 GHz and 512mb of ram. Can you guys please post up links to what ram I should buy? Can I get a gig and run it with my 512 or will I need to buy another 512 and run them together instead? Or best yet, what about running two gig sticks?

you need PC2700

the most your laptop can run is 1gig total ram

so just get 1 more 512 and youre maxed out
