I have Muscular Dystrophy. Every year 4 days before the National MDA telethon for Jerry's Kids I post a thread about MD and helping raise money for me and other people with this disease.

Well its 4 days before telethon and I have my official link to raise my goal for the year.

There are over 43 types of this horrible disease, ranging in severity. Some people may not see their 12th or 20th birthday. Some kids are running around at age 6 and not being able to walk or feed themselves by gae 7. It strikes us all in different ways and although technology has advanced to the point of giving a good estimation as to how this disease may progress.....there is still no way to prevent it or cure it. that is what im asking for, my one dream, my one wish..... is to know that one day I can have kids or grandkids eventually that dont have to worry about this disease.

I was diagnosed at age 2. However had the disease since birth. It effects my dads side of the family. I under went extremely painful testing and many surgeries by time i was 15 years old. I have been wearing leg braces since I was 5 years old as well. Every year I get extremely sick due to weakened immune system from this disease and without the help of MDA the chances are I may not be here. MDA is all run on fundraising.....They help families pay for wheelchairs, braces, summer camp, hospital stays, and research to find a cure.

Even if you can only donate 1 dollar....it helps. All im asking is for 5 minutes of your time and a donation to continue to find a cure for this disease or help a little kid go have the week of his/her life at summer camp. If you can donate your spare change, thatd be wonderful, or even $20....it all matters and means the world to me!
