New trans is in.

Got the new trans/stall in. Major upgrade!!! The 3k stall and shift kit make for a fun time driving. Stall makes you sound like you are haulin *** everywhere. It is nice to right in the powerband imead. We did it on a lift which was a Godsend!!! Would have sucked doing it on the ground. Still could have been done but would have taken longer.

First drive after putting the trans in was a new experience. I gave it half throttle and the tires went up in smoke. I think I need to look into drag radials now. Since the stall puts the car right in it's peek powerband It is instant power now. Huge difference.

Tell me about it. Scared the hell out of me at first, wasn't expecting that at all. Drove it like I normally would and instant smoke show. I was driving home and took off at a light, did the same thing, then it hooked and went to second and spun them again.

Tranny, 300 With 5k on it, Stall 250 from same new trans, cooler 60 bucks. Total= $610. The dude was gonna sell all his stuff and build a dedicated strip car, parts went cheap. He was local and guaranteed the tranny. Works just as advertised. No issues at all, temps are good, shifts unreal, stall when the gas is stabbed right to 3k. I always seem to find great deals. Funny thing is when my tranny started slipping when I was a the track last time, I came home went online and 5 mins later he posted stuff for sale. He is a guy in MFBA (Another local club I belong to.) Right place at the right time i guess.

Next time you find a deal like that on a trans let me know. I could use your help with the install too. ;-)
