New TV?

New TV?
I've been thinking about buying a new TV. It's annoying when my wife is watching TV or a movie and I can't watch anything good because all we have other than that is a 25" tube TV.
We currently have a 42" top of the line LCD TV with 1080p resolution and such. My thought was to buy a 50" plasma for watching TV since plasma's are for the most part at a lower resolution, have burn-in issues, and just aren't as good for gaming but considering most TV is only at 720p anyways that should be fine.
I'll think about it for a week or two before I make my finally choice but decided to post it up here because the site has been so slow lately.

I'm about ready to make the purchase. I've decided it is something I want.
My wife and I have been looking at buying a nice house and we both agree we want one TV for the family/living room and then to have a movie room in the basement so I'll need both anyways so I might as well do it now.
I'm still looking for the perfect model for myself but after reading through tons of specs, reviews, etc... The one it looks like I'll end up with is a 50" Panasonic 1080p plasma. I don't remember the exact model number off the top of my head but it's a new model for this year.

Plasma's are hot gas, but yeah it could be a pain if you have to get them recharged. Nowadays though they have longer lifespans. And in all honesty most people will buy a new TV before the Plasma would need a recharge.
Chad, have you looked at any of the Pioneer plasma's, they seem to be at the top of a lot of peoples lists. My buddy has a model that is 2 years old now and it has an amazing picture.
