Following up on Josh's comments which I think pretty much hit the target, as far as the thread regarding Jason's rims goes, you made a personal attack on Danielle, which not only was uncalled for, but definitely not something that anyone should have to read, and it's not something that should be on this forum. One of the things everyone normally agrees to on this site is no flaming, so case in point when there was a flame directed at a specific person, it's taken care of, in this case the post was deleted.
As far as the thread being locked, it's a general argeement normally that if a thread has had the chance for everyone to give their opinion, and then has turned into an arguement over something totally off topic, it gets closed. If it were in any other forum and it had gone from being on topic to being offtopic arguing, it would've been locked. In this case, Jason locked his own thread because he was tired of the bickering, which I think was a justified decision.

Jimmy, you're not in the wrong here. The only mistake I see is trying to get other people "in trouble" with you. Everyone needs to grow some thicker skin here.

um...i kinda agree with some people, the threads should stay open to let the person defend him/herself but at the same time the thread should be closed to stop the bickering...we forget...this is a car site for car tech.

Yeh, how about we let Jimmy respond, and then when he responds we close it (giving him the last word on the entire subject, which is fair, right?), wait a few days (so those that know about it can read it) and just delete the thread... this is gone on far much longer than it should've.
