i dont have time to read all the messages after mine because im running a little late this morning but i wanted to add this before i forgert it. its soemthing for you guys to ponder.
kid that wears a turban works at a fast food palce. hes asked to clean out the deep frieer. now weve all seen it, they wear the gloves, the apron and the face shield. problem is the shields strap doesnt fit over his turban. so he either has to remove the turban or not wear a face shield. what are your thoughts on that?

Kid should get another job, or they should find someone else to do it.

pretty sure there was, which is why the rcmp wouldnt allow it until that guy put up a stink. i personally find it as a sign of disrespect. whats next, your gonna get copswalking around in those dresses some of the middle eastern guys wear because its what theyre used to wearing back home?
Heres the breakdown,
Some sikh's cannot cut there hair (part of the religion) which is why most wear the turban. It's not like they are wearing an orange turban with the cop uniform. The few sikh cop's wear a colour matched turban (matches with the police uniform). I don't see anything wrong with that at all.

and at the same time their religion doesnt require them to wear one, only something on their head, so why not wear something on their head under the cop hait, or fire fighter helmet, or motorcycle helmet?

so why should the kid have to get another job then? he wants to be a burger jockey so why not let him? why doesnt he just take a chance and work without a face shield on? his role model, possibly father wants to ride a motorcycle without a helmet, why shouldnt this kid handle hot oil in a similar fashion?
see this works in many different ways. i understand they cant cut the hair, and yet ive seen many of them with their hair in a bun and the white napkin looking thing around it. again from my understanding its some sort of headwear they have on and its acceptable by their religion.
i understand that those cops try to color co ordinate with the uniform, thats fine, at the same time i personally find it a sign of dis respect to the uniform and to myself when they wear the head dress. thats my personal opinion and its not everyones. if you suspect that your life choices, career, or otherwise, will be affected by your religion, then you shouldnt get into that line of work. thats just me though. at the same time i understand they want to keep their religious views, but they need to understand that we shouldnt have to change our views jsut to make them more comfortable. soon a handshake will be considered in appropiate. you wait and see.

I am severly limited in knowledge of their beliefs and practices, but I swear that every time I see video or photos of their places of worship, that I never see women in there. I also heard that one of their places of worship (somewhere in peel region) they built a special seperate floor where the females are now allowed to worship.
Im not saying the women dont pray or anything cuz I know they do - Im saying as far as my knowledge goes - women are not allowed to pray/worship in the main room with the men while at temple/mosque/etc...
Plus I constantly hear from girls of that faith (and similar) are allways complaining about how unfair/restricive they are treated in their faiths, in their homes, etc... apparently from what I hear from them, women are considered dirty (or something) and cant go inside the temples cuz of that reason (something to do with the fact that they can give birth = EEWWW)
Im curious to know myself, to educate myself, so can anyone shed some light on this

Religion doesnt even come into it, its just another ****** who doesnt want to pay the ticket, thinks hes in the right but clearly missing a few screws upstairs.
there should be compromise for this idiot, make him pay the ticket and make him wear a helmet, if you dont want to... walk
